With the help of Kilpatrick & Co, Philip Brown Violins have relocated to new premises in Cheap Street, Newbury, a Grade II listed building, a short walk from Newbury rail station and the town centre. Philip Brown Violin’s new home extends to 1,332 sq ft, giving them room to expand their growing specialised business of bow making and restorations of cellos, violins and violas. They have a workshop on site and customers can visit and try before they buy some of the English, French and Italian musical instruments. Andrew Kilpatrick of Kilpatrick & Co said “We are pleased to have finally got Philip Brown Violins into their new home, particularly as the relocation posed a number of challenges, which took a lot of time and effort to overcome. The relocation was more like running a marathon than a sprint and whilst they looked a number of properties in Newbury before settling on Cheap Street, we agreed terms only to find the offices didn’t have a planning consent for office use. We also needed listed building consent for some minor alterations required by our client to improve security, which all took time. We hope Philip Brown Violins will continue to be successful as internationally renowned bow makers and violin restorers.” Philip Brown Violins maybe found at or contacted by email at Kilpatrick & Co specialise in commercial property and may be contacted at Delta 602, Delta Office Park, Welton Road, Swindon, Wiltshire SN5 7XF.
