DISPUTE RESOLUTION & EXPERT WITNESS

Kilpatrick & Co Director Andrew Kilpatrick is able to offer dispute resolution in rent reviews, lease renewals and valuations, taking private and RICS Presidential appointments as Arbitrator or Independent Expert. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators as well as being on the RICS President’s Panel of Arbitrators and Independent Experts.

Andrew Kilpatrick is also an RICS registered Expert Witness and has appeared as Expert Witness in various Court hearings, from Magistrates Court to County Court, High Court, Valuation Tribunal and the Lands Tribunal on lease renewals, valuations, rating, compulsory purchase compensation and negligence claims. He also has experience of acting as Surveyor-Advocate.

ENERGY PERFORMANCE CERTIFICATES

Energy Performance Certificates (EPC’s) are now required for all commercial and business properties that are being marketed for sale or to let.    If you have a property to sell or let which doesn’t already have an EPC, we recommend further investigations on the need to commission an EPC as soon as possible so as not to delay a sale or letting.  Kilpatrick & Co have formed associations with selected specialist providers to advise our clients on this and provide EPC’s where appropriate.
